Decal making and finishing a art piece to submit to a show

I recently made a decal for a client who has a boat. I made two characters and then two shooting stars. I put a lot of effort and dedicated a lot of time. The characters took a lot of attention to detail and they ended up looking top notch in the clients opinion and mine as well. I am proud of what I did for the client's watercraft artwork needs.
I love how art can be put in many places and expressed in so many forms and mediums. I am also submitting a piece for Dylan days, I drew digital art for the submission which may be up in the Zietgiest Arts cafe. It'd be an honor to be selected but I am going to see what happens with that.
I am taking a break for summer from graphic arts and I will be back at it in September. I hope you all have a wonderful summer. As always thank you for reading.

Finishing up on some commissioned work

I am now in the last few days of editing, changing sizes, & putting together the album of images for something that will be amazing for my business. I have been doubting my photography skills all month but in return getting encouragement to jump into the great skills I already possess. I am happy to announce I put a few images together that I can be ultra proud of.
I have had a side job to pay the bills starting last month and my start date was Valentine's Day. It has been a challenge juggling work, family, & business owner life. While I don't mind the challenge I wonder how I can improve on it & keep drawing daily, go foreword with website development, make my own business cards, etc. I am always "binge learning" on a website I mainly use about subjects such as Affinity Designer, Photoshop, & Wordpress/Web development. I have been vector drawing quite often as well however lately the push is on for my photography project.
Our girls, myself, and my friend Lu went to the Tweed Museum of Art a few weeks ago, my take-away on what I learned was that my art is quality & it needs to get out there for the world to enjoy. Quite often I have been posting to Instagram as well, which makes me happy to know that I'm spreading more awareness of my art. I'm so thankful for my followers there because I consider that my portfolio. I hope to reach five hundred followers by the end of next year. (The process of putting my goal down onto my blog will help put that goal into fruition) I will definitely take steps to make that happen, it will be a great journey.
So, in conclusion, I am so excited about what's to come & look forward to my end result of this submission I'll be submitting in a few days. I am also happy to announce my dear cousin asked me to design her business cards for her new business. That will also be such a great time to work with her to get that accomplished. Well all of you who are reading, I hope you are happy, blessed, and purposeful in all that you do. Until next time my dears!

Delving into the great job of freelancing

https://www.upwork.com/freelancers/~01bf5b668556e37a2b

I have now officially started and have built up my skills enough to be confident to change from aspiring Graphic Artist to the title "Freelance Graphic Artist" I have the website to prove it. After quite a few years of being a stay-at-home mom/homemaker I can now say I am transitioning into a work-at-home mom. There were a few bumps in the road this past week as I almost fell victim to a work-at-home Graphic Designer scam/hoax. I want to let everyone know to protect your personal information with your life. I am happy it didn't catch me in a financial bind.
I had my suspicions but now that I found an article on indeed dot com I am now confident this was the same someone from across the world was trying to play me for a fool. I asked some techie geniuses I know along with some graphic designer friends as well. I am so thankful for my family too. Especially my husband, what a life-saver. I kept trying to find information on the company itself, it is currently and has been a legitimate company for some time that I forgot to look into the "interviewer" aka con woman (I can't call her an artist because that is giving her too much credit).
I simply chalk it up as a lesson learned, sad that this world can be so cruel sometimes but all you have to do sometimes is to protect "you and yours" and that is what I did in the end.
Well I hope I've helped, if you need any Graphic Designing done for your business or personal needs don't be a stranger and leave a comment or email me.
May you be blessed and until next time.
